The other day I decided my hair was too long, and had never tried cutting it myself before, so I grabbed some scissors, and started cutting it. Without any technique or tools, other than the mirror and scissors, I ended up satisfied. It only took about 10 minutes, it was free, I didn't have to go anywhere, and it was fun! Here's a before and after...

Yesterday I had an appointment at the car dealership that replaced my engine to make sure everything was okay. My appointment was in Denver at 11 AM and I thought it was going to be a quick solo mission to Denver and back, but it wasn't. I thought I was gonna cruise down there, sit around for an hour, get my car back, go to Culver's, and happily drive back to the mountains to do some video editing at home. After waiting for a good 45 minutes at the car dealership, they told me something actually was wrong with my car, and it might take a few days to fix. So the dealership, having some sick connections, hooked it up fatty style with a rental car for 24 hours. I then took my brand new Nissan Sentra to the other side of Denver for a classic good time at Culver's. After that I linked up with fellow snow slider Spencer H in Boulder to bro out college style for a while. Us two then linked up with another snow slider Calvin S, who got us into the Center for Community building, otherwise known as C4C. This place was crazy, it was a massive food court style cafeteria for the college. Basically unlimited food, and lots of different options. I can imagine it would get sickening after eating it every day, but the first time in there sure was a treat. After a little more college-ing, I went to snow slider Katrina S's house where I was able to sleep. This morning went pretty smoothly, my car was ready around noon, and I drove it home as planned. Although I had none of this in mind when going to Denver, it sure was an experience and I'm glad it happened!

and here's a cat mug that Katrina and Ryan graciously gave to me, which I am now thinking will be the start of my cat mug collection

Conner and I just got home from a short trip to Utah to visit some Wisconsin homies in Salt Lake City. Not only did we find out that tarantulas live in SLC, but we had a good amount of fun in a short amount of time. Here are some pictures of shit we saw and did!
Classic fun. SLC was sick and I'm pretty sure I want to move there next year so I can finish school up and still ski a lot!
First thing we did was get Culver's, not much else to say, but it was great. |
The trail was completely covered in snow, and a bit sketchy, but we're men, and we're American, so we didn't have a problem getting up. |

This is the outside of the little cave, you can see where the water falls in towards the top left. |
and the inside! tons of tarantulas and bears in here! |

The other day Conner and I bought some Banquet microwave meals for a dollar. Today we had them, and it was one of the strangest eating experiences ever. The fries were really weird, and the nuggets weren't really chicken-y, but were at the same time. They weren't good, they weren't bad, but for only a dollar, I highly recommend picking a couple up...for the experience.
Then to make up for how unhealthy those meals were, we chugged some free muscle milk

Tuesday night is free dinner night, and at free dinner, not ONLY is dinner free, but sometimes there's free shit in the doorway. Usually it's just bread and bagels, but sometimes there's little trinkets for kids :) The other night there were kitten and puppy temp tats, so we got them, and applied them to our necks and faces.
